All KPMI® titanium valves are one piece forging manufactured from solid U.S. milled 6-2-4-2 or 6AL4V titanium bar.
These are the latest developments in titanium valve alloys and have superior strength and thermal characteristics when compared to other titanium valve alloys.
The titanium bar is cut, and hot forged into shape. While the forging is still hot, the valve stem is pulled to cross-sectionally reduce it.
After all final grinding and machining is completed, the valve is encased in a hard chromium nitride (CRN) shell.
CRN offers excellent resistance to impact, abrasion, and corrosion.
We have tested these valves in the lab and on the track.
They have proven themselves time after time in many high-demand applications, from a dual stage nitrous engine, to 14,000 RPM applications.
